Omschrijving
Mamma, oorspronkelijk uitgebracht in 1984, is een verzameling populaire Italiaanse liedjes, gearrangeerd en gedirigeerd door Henry Mancini. In zijn notitie op de plaat riep Pavarotti uit: 'Ik ben opgegroeid met deze liedjes, net als vele anderen van mijn generatie, en ze roepen nu het geluid van mijn kindertijd op'. Het album wordt voor het eerst sinds 1984 opnieuw op vinyl uitgebracht, met voor het eerst nieuwe, geremasterde HD-audio. Deze zijn vers van de pre-mastertapes uit de Decca-kluizen gehaald en geven een fris en mooi perspectief aan deze historische opnames.
