Omschrijving

6CD box met 5 klassieke albums van het iconische jazzorkest de Dutch Swing College Band plus hun album Ministry of Jazz uit 2023.

De CD box bestaat de 6 albums: Jazz at the Concertgebouw Amsterdam (1958), D.S.C. at the European Jazz Festival (1962), Boys meet Girls (1966), Live in Singapore (1969); The Concert, The Ball, Ministry of Jazz (2023).

De Dutch Swing College Band, opgericht op 5 mei 1945, wordt beschouwd als de belangrijkste vertegenwoordiger van de Europese Classic Jazz en hét visitekaartje van de Nederlandse Jazz. De invloed en specifieke stijl van het orkest zijn toonaangevend geweest voor de ontwikkeling binnen de Europese traditionele jazzmuziek.
