Enfants difficiles is the second solo album by Belgian singer-songwriter Mentissa and marks a turning point in her artistic career. The album, rooted in French pop, leans toward a more introspective and candid style, exploring complex emotions with a newfound sense of vulnerability and honesty. The production is both polished and intimate, blending subtle electronic touches with organic instrumentation to highlight the warmth and power of her voice.
Throughout the album, Mentissa moves between strength and vulnerability, creating songs that feel more like personal conversations than polished performances. Released in 2026, the album embodies a clear evolution from her debut, featuring a more direct lyrical approach and a bolder sonic palette. Themes of self-discovery, emotional resilience, and personal liberation run throughout the project, giving it a cohesive narrative that reflects an artist coming into her own.
Ultimately, Enfants difficiles feels like a statement of identity, combining accessible melodies with profound storytelling to offer a mature, emotionally rich portrait of Mentissa at this stage of her life and career.
