The follow-up to Exodus, like its predecessor, was recorded in London. The refreshing "Kaya" (1978) showcases a relaxed Bob, much more preoccupied with melody, love, and ganja than with pressing world problems. In his own words, he recorded "Kaya" "...to cool off the pace." This remastered CD version of "Kaya" includes the bonus track "Smile Jamaica," released in 1978 as the B-side of the single "Satisfy My Soul." "Smile Jamaica" was written for the eponymous concert in 1976, after which Bob felt compelled to temporarily relocate to London. It was released in the lead-up to the legendary One Love Peace Concert on April 22, 1978, where Marley, having returned to Jamaica, managed to unite the leaders of the two rival political parties in the violence-torn Jamaica on stage. "Kaya" comes complete with a 16-page booklet featuring photos and all the song lyrics.
