The Rolling Stones take great pleasure in unexpectedly playing small venues when they're on tour. This was also the case in 1999, when the No Security Tour brought the band to London.
The band were due to play twice to a sold-out Wembley Stadium, and to everyone's surprise they announced a 'surprise show' in Shepherd's Bush the day before.
The venue, which only holds 1,800, was packed that night, and saw the band perform a setlist that included classics as well as some rarely played numbers like "Melody," "Moon Is Up," "I Got the Blues," and "Brand New Car." Sheryl Crow, who opened that night, joined the band later that evening for "Honky Tonk Women."
