The Gewandhaus Orchestra's acclaimed Bruckner/Wagner cycle, conducted by Andris Nelsons, is complete. New to this set are Symphony No. 0 and Wagner's overtures "Rienzi" and "Der fliegende Holländer." "Bruckner's music is in the Gewandhaus Orchestra's DNA," says Andris Nelsons. "These symphonies are like a pilgrimage whose ultimate destination is God. Playing them raises existential, philosophical questions. I found this journey with the orchestra incredibly rewarding."
